Skinakas mountain peak. The view around is truly breathtaking, especially with clear sky, but the hardware installed on this peak that consists the Observatory of Skinakas with two telescopes, one 1.3m and one 0.3m has the purpose to see and study the stars. It is a joined research facility of the University of Crete and the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) and is operated by the Astrophysics Group of these institutions.
